- Convert to cubic yards: Divide cubic feet by 27 to get cubic yards. For ready-mix orders, concrete is sold by the cubic yard. A 20-cubic-foot slab is roughly 0.74 cubic yards.
Always add a small buffer to your measurements. A 5 to 10 percent overage accounts for uneven subgrades, spillage, and variations in the pour.
